World’s Most Natural Face Mask

When I started using African black soap, the first thing that struck me is how what I’ve come to think of as soap is so artificial. Perfectly cut bars, always the same color, the same weight, the same feel, etc. Don’t get me wrong, there’s definitely a benefit to continuity, but African black soap is probably the antithesis of store bought soap in looks and results.

There’s so many benefits to this soap it’s hard to know where to start, but let me say the cost is no small part of loving it. It’s amazingly cheap. The shipping cost more than the actual soap.

All the benefits you hear about are true. It’s gentle, clears up your complexion, and doesn’t strip your skin of natural oils. I can’t personally vouch for it’s effectiveness against skin conditions like psoriasis or eczema because I don’t have those, but there are tons of people writing reviews on Amazon that claim it works for that too.

I just wrote an article on soap focusing on African black soap, but I thought I would show how versatile this soap is by giving you a recipe for using it as a face mask.

Simply cut out about a 2 inch block of soap. Put your block of soap in about 2 ounces of water for about 10 minutes. Add 2 ounces of honey and mix it all together. Smear the mixture on your face and neck and  let it sit for 20-30 min. Rinse and repeat twice weekly and you’ll be on your way to clear, smooth skin.

Any leftover mask mixture can be stored in a covered container for later use.
