It seems that natural skin care products are all the rage now. More and more companies are trying to go green and natural skin care products are often a sure thing to market to consumers. It can be so hard to know what to think or who to believe when there’s so much conflicting information going around.
You might guess that the truth about all natural beauty products is that they all aren’t created equal. Some products are better than others and some products simply aren’t made for your skin. There are products that are less harmful to the environment and some which are flat out bad for the environment that every business is intent on saving. How are you to know who to believe and who not to believe?
Since money is tighter than ever, it’s impossible to try out all of the available products to see for ourselves which actually do what they claim to. I don’t particularly have time to make products from scratch, but I know what ingredients I need. A trick I’ve been using lately is to search by ingredients and not by skin condition. I find that the smaller companies tend to have very reasonable prices compared to the johnny-come-lately types that have just decided to go green. Here’s a list of companies I’ve been using for the last several years–
While men use natural skin care products too, women are the big consumers of makeup, and right now mineral makeup is all the rage. But, as can be expected, not all mineral makeup is the same. While all boast being made from all natural minerals, they don’t have to be made up entirely of just minerals.
Many of the all natural mineral brands include preservatives and other artificial ingredients to prolong the shelf life of the make-up. As we all know, preservatives and artificial ingredients can be harmful not just to ourselves but to the environment, as well.
Besides make-up, there are other all natural health and beauty products available for people to buy today. Shampoos, soaps, perfumes, even ointments for aching joints, can all carry the all natural label. Once again, it’s important to actually read the ingredients list to find out whether they are truly 100% natural. If there’s a long, highly technical term in the ingredients list that you can’t pronounce, chances are the product contains artificial stabilizers or preservatives. I have a simple rule of thumb. If I can’t pronouce it, I don’t buy it. But, if curiousity gets the better of you check it out at Skin Deep.
Purchasing and using all natural health and beauty products is an excellent way to do something great for ourselves and for the environment. Just make sure you don’t get influenced by all the hype. You can feel good about making yourself look good every day when you use all natural health and beauty products.

Thank you for informing your followers on the importance of reading labels.

It seems like every product has words that one can’t pronounce. LOL!
And it’s really hard to find something that is actually “natural” other than what you may make at home.
How about trying a natural product that isn’t a cream? I’ve been using the Dema Roller for wrinkles for over a year now and look better now than I did in my forties.
This FDA approved little hand held device is also good for treating C-Section scarring, breast augmentation scars, and tummy tuck scars.
Even Dr. Phil’s wife Robin McGraw and Rachael Ray reviewed it and use it. Plus, it’s cheap and you can do it in your own home everyday. I love it and want to share it with everyone. Read more about it here and see the Rachael Ray video clip here Rachael Ray Derma Roller

Great advice on checking labels. The hardest thing with buying natural products, to me, is knowing information on the ingredients that make up the product. For instance, the label may look legitimate, but what effects do these ingredients have on you?
