This is another excellent book from Karin Bombelli. I have all of her publications and this is by far the most comprehensive. I was a bit dismayed that many of the recipes were the same except for the coloration but for a novice cosmetic formulator or a home craftsperson, this would be excellent.
I am an award winning cosmetic formulator, and I teach others to make natural cosmetics and skincare products. I use her books as my textbooks when conducting a class because they are simple to use and the formulas are easy to duplicate, even if you have never made cosmetics before.
‘ve been searching a long time for a book that shows you how to make cosmetics and not just soap and lotions naturally. This is a one of a kind book! It says Vol. 1, so I am anxiously awaiting Vol. 2. Well written with a great website link.
I just bought this book to start making my own cosmetics at home. The book is easy to follow and well written. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a ton of recipes.
Enjoyed the many different recipes this book had to offer and now I can’t wait to finally try them out myself. Hopefully it will be as easy to make them as it looks in the book. The author of this book actually has it’s own website ([...]) where customers can come and purchase the very same supplies they offer in the book however, by me living over here in Washington, DC and the website where I wanted to purchase supplies being based all the way in Washington geez the shipping price nearly killed me. $15.00 just to ship two items? :=( Other than that the company is GREAT.
